1st Dispatch from TT FL08: Hi from Alcapulco!

Hi All!
First I have to say that I SURVIVED Week 1!! I feel good about my accomplishment; still get emotional about it. I got here Tuesday.

There are around 310 trainees. 3 have gone home. Over 20 of us arrived late.

Bikram and his staff gave us this first week to ween ourselves into the process...they weren´t really barking at us in class or getting on us for forgetting a line of dialogue in posture clinic. For Week 2, the honeymoon is over.

I´m so glad you all enforce the no-towel-policy when we do Triangle Pose in class; lots of trainees are using towel-support, next week this luxury will be taken away.

I am in the beginning stages of appreciating the principle of letting go of expectations & being present. If I anticipate that a particular class will be hard, the yoga room will be super-hot, or I won´t last till then end of class without having to step out to pee, etc. I won´t make it. This is partly how I survived Week 1, by focusing on the moment. Oh, and by crying.

Karen-thanks for praying for me.

All of you-thanks for helping me with dialogue & coaching over my summer break!!

Iram, Pam! Congratulations on week 1 down, 8 to go! We are all rooting for you! It's challenging yes, but what else would you expect Bikram Torture Training to be, oh, I mean Bikram Teacher Training ;-) oops! Stay with your breath, keep it calm and you will get through it. Before you know it you will be standing on the podium at home comfortably teaching a 90 minute class!
